Who is Furry Galaxy?
Furry Galaxy is a non-profit organisation with the goal to bring the furry community together in small and cosy events! As there are not many furry events in Belgium, we thought it might be fun to have an extra yearly event!
Why did we choose a nightclub as a first event?
We wanted to create our own event for a very long time now, speaking about 4 years at least! But we didn't dare to take the step to create a non-profit organisation. In the beginning of this year, we were invited to a little nightclub for a Disney themed evening. We got invited by two furry friends to join this event with the request of wearing fursuits and we did.
The reason? The owner!
It ended up being a very awesome evening and the owner Eddy was very kind! Our friends knew we wanted to create an event and talked to the owner already about it and we started chatting with him. It ended up being an awesome discussion and he offered us the nightclub for one evening! We were hesitant at first as it is a big step, but decided to jump onto this opportunity.
This was the start of the Galaxy Nightclub, the first kind of Furry Galaxy event! It might not be the perfect location yet regarding amount of space, but there's a cosy and fun vibe in this nightclub! We hope you guys enjoy it! Who knows what the future will bring!
What are our future goals?
Our goal is not to become a giant event or convention with 300+ attendees. We just wanted to add at least one additional SFW event in Belgium. Our main idea is to have an event where even new furs can safely get to know the furry fandom and the fursuits. As this event is quite small, it's way easier to get to know new friends by just hanging around. Our staff is also there to answer any furry fandom, furry events or fursuit related questions!
Remember the dresscode!
Keep in mind that our events are strictly SFW and that we have rules about what to wear at the event. In summary, only fursuits and normal clothes are allowed. Please check the dresscode rules before going to the event. Wearing something that isn't allowed, will end up in you having to either change clothes at the event itself or leave the event.
